Sports Injury
Sports injuries are common and can happen to anyone participating in any sports activity and any part of the body. The major reasons for sports injuries are improper technique, overuse, or trauma.
Common sports injuries include fractures, sprains, strains, dislocations, and concussions.
Based on the severity of the injury. It may be treated with regular remedies or need medical treatment such as surgery or physical therapy.
In order to prevent sports injuries, athletes need to ensure certain things such as proper warm-up before every training session or competition, use of proper equipment and techniques, wearing good quality protective gear (wherever necessary), proper rest and recovery, proper nutrition, and regular health checkups.
If a sportsperson suffers an injury, they should immediately be provided with first-aid and, in most cases, should not be allowed to continue further play. Once first aid is provided, they should seek medical attention to analyze the severity of the injury and for further treatment and recovery.
